CDS DS Win the Silver Defence Employee Recognition Award 2017
CDS Defence Support are extremely proud to announce that they have been awarded the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme at Silver level for 2017, one of only 16 companies in the South West Region to have been selected for the award this year!
This award recognises the commitment, over and above the ‘norm’, that CDS DS give to supporting employees that are part of the Armed forces community, whether that be as Reservists, Veterans or Cadet Force Members. CDS DS has committed to and been commended for this dedication to providing a working environment that is both flexible and supportive and count this as one of their biggest, non “sales” achievements to date.
Currently more than 10% of CDS DS' Workforce are reservists. CDS provides the opportunity for those members of its workforce who are reservists to pursue their armed forces roles whilst enjoying a fulfilling career with a leading Defence Consultancy
CDS Defence Support has also signed the Armed Forces Covenant, an official document that pledges CDS to support any serving reservist employee over and above the expected level. CDS' Managing Director, Richard Bradley, firmly believes that this is an important pledge to make owing to the high number of reservist personnel working for the company and the unique set of skills and expertise that these employees bring.
Richard stated, "We are delighted to have received the news of this award. As a company, we are fully committed to the UK military’s ‘Whole Force Approach’ and are very proud of the role played by our reservist colleagues."
Richard, along with CDS DS’ Sales Director DiBs Bucknell (Commander RNR) and CDS DS’ Bid Manager Charlotte Robinson, who nominated the company for the award, will be attending an official presentation ceremony at the start of October. Here, they will be presented the award by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire, Dame Janet Trotter DBE.
