Defence News

On 2nd May, CDS was pleased to welcome 4 new starters to the company, one of whom, can only be described as truly unique!

On 2nd May 2017, CDS Defence Support welcomed 4 new starters to the team; 2 in the Technical Documentation department, 1 in the Safety department and a Ferret Armoured vehicle, which was purchased over the bank holiday weekend as part of the CDS office redesign!

The 2 new starters in Technical Documentation, pictured on the right below, include Dave Stevens and Francis Moles who have both joined the company as Technical Illustrators / Authors.

Josef Erskine, pictured on the left, has joined the team as a Safety Engineer, Josef left the British Army on Wednesday 26th April and, less than a week later has joined the ranks at CDS Defence Support. Josef was an Ammunition Technician in the Army and brings with him a wealth of practical experience and knowledge. In keeping with CDS Defence Support’s commitment to the Whole Force Approach in general and the Reserve Forces in particular, CDS will be supporting Josef in his application to move from the Regular Army to the Army Reserves, thus joining over 10% of CDS' current employees who are serving Reservists.

The final new joiner to the team, is a Ferret wheeled armoured fighting vehicle, that was purchased by the company over the May bank holiday weekend. The Ferret will form part of CDS’ new Customer Experience show room which will become part of the CDS Defence Support office in Cheltenham later this year.
