Ajax Programme

Delivering 1,200 data modules to the S1000D and S2000M standards.

Challenge​

General Dynamics needed to rework the AJAX LSAR as it had lost configuration control and needed to be re-baselined to catch up with a number BOM iterations.​

Lockheed Martin needed to deliver accurate technical documentation against tight timescales for the turret across the two variants of AJAX.​

Action​

A team of 21 people were rapidly assembled comprising CDS DS employees and associates to quality check the existing data, re-baseline, integrate supplier data, and provide data assurance. In addition to this CDS DS have provided resource to fulfil key project roles or Vehicle IPSM, Training equipment IPSM, & LSAM.​

A team of four technical authors provided the full suite of technical document services, including authoring and illustrating. ​

Value Added

The LSA team are now embedded within the AJAX engineering team and have contributed towards major project support milestones including Maintenance and Logistic Demonstrations, Logistic data baselining and assurance, & Technical Publications alignment.​

The technical publications team delivered 1,200 data modules to the S1000D and S2000M standards. The customer was delighted at the accuracy and pace that the CDS DS team was able to deliver, helping them achieve their commitments​.
