Capability Sustainment

BvS10 All-Terrain Vehicle

The UK Forces required the conversion of the documentation into a paper-based document, more suitable for the end user.

Challenge

The interactive, IT-intensive technical documentation for the BvS10 ATV was not accessible via an End User Device (EUD) and not suitable in power denied environments. The UK Forces required the conversion of the documentation into a paper-based document, more suitable for the end user.

Action

We converted the .xml documentation utilising both a bespoke in-house developed software solution and the oversight of a technical author.

Value Added

All 2,327 .xml data files and 2,436 illustrations were collated into a 5,188-page PDF document suite within nine months. The PDF was able to be printed as well as viewed online therefore satisfied our customer’s challenge.
