Challenge

North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) Joint Electronic Warfare (JEW) Core Staff (JEWCS) aims to develop a capability that will provide a suite of modern EW equipment allowing them to deliver state-of-the-art training and address the advances in electromagnetic (EM) threat and countermeasures technology.

Tasked with designing training systems and require Core Control Documents (CCD) and Technical Publications (TP).

Action

A team of 10, spanning two CDS DS business units, is collaborating with multiple external stakeholders to develop NATO-standard training packages (including Train the Trainer) and technical publications from inception to delivery. These packages cover three new aviation weapon systems and multiple air systems support teams, involving programmers, maintainers, operators, and analysts.

Value Added

This project is ongoing, and equipment demos are proposed for April. The team has begun analysing training and developing a footprint for success over the coming months, working closely with the customer to hit the upcoming milestone delivery drops.
