CDS DS Finalists at Learning Awards
CDS Defence and Security heading to the 2026 Learning Awards as Double Finalists.

CDS Defence & Security (CDS DS) is proud to announce that we have been shortlisted for two awards at the 2026 Learning Awards, recognising both individual excellence and impactful public sector delivery.
The Learning Awards celebrate innovation, quality, and measurable impact in learning and development across the UK. Being named finalists in two highly competitive categories is a significant milestone for CDS DS and a testament to the strength, dedication, and expertise of our people.
Rising Star of the Year – Emily Brooks, Digital Learning Designer
We are delighted to share that Emily, one of our Digital Learning Designers, has been shortlisted for Rising Star of the Year.
Over the past year, Emily has consistently gone above and beyond her role, contributing to the successful delivery of a number of complex contracts and supporting the continued evolution of our digital learning capability. She has demonstrated a willingness to step outside her comfort zone, embrace new challenges, and apply creativity and professionalism to every project she supports.
This nomination recognises Emily’s rapid development, commitment to excellence, and the positive impact she has made across the business. Being named a finalist among emerging talent from across the learning sector is a well-deserved achievement.
People Development Programme of the Year – Public Sector
Trauma Informed Practice for the Home Office
CDS DS is also proud to be a finalist for People Development Programme of the Year – Public Sector for our Trauma Informed Practice programme, delivered in partnership with the Home Office.
This programme has played a key role in supporting cultural change across Home Office asylum operations, embedding trauma-informed principles into learning, leadership, and operational practice. Designed to be evidence-based, practical, and scalable, the programme has helped teams better understand the impact of trauma, strengthen professional confidence, and improve the experience of both staff and service users.
The nomination reflects the collaborative effort between CDS DS and the Home Office, as well as our shared commitment to people-centred learning that delivers lasting behavioural and organisational change.
"Developed in close collaboration with the Home Office and Headroc, TIP reflects the care, professionalism and real-world impact our team brings to complex public-sector challenges. I am immensely proud of the team and the standards they continue to set. It is a privilege to work alongside such committed, thoughtful people".
Looking Ahead to the Awards
Being shortlisted for two awards at the 2026 Learning Awards is a proud moment for CDS Defence & Security and highlights our continued focus on delivering high-quality, impactful learning solutions across defence, security, and the public sector.
We look forward to attending the awards ceremony in London and celebrating alongside fellow finalists who are shaping the future of learning and development.
