Whole Force Approach
The Whole Force Approach recognises the significant value that can be achieved by the effective collaboration of full time military personnel, reserve forces, civil servants and defence industry contractors.
CDS Defence Support embraces this concept and operates its business in a manner which exemplifies the Whole Force Approach.
CDS does this by employing an ethos that recognises that the role it plays is only effective when undertaken in partnership with colleagues and clients in the full time and reserve services.
CDS staff operate in a manner which sees them work in absolute harmony with uniformed personnel to achieve common goals.
CDS further endorses the Whole Force Approach by a policy of encouraging reservist personnel within its own workforce.
Currently more than 10% of CDS' Workforce are reservists. CDS provides the opportunity for those members of its workforce who are reservists to pursue their armed forces roles whilst enjoying a fulfilling career with a leading Defence Consultancy
CDS Defence Support has also signed the Armed Forces Covenant, an official document that pledges CDS to support any serving reservist employee over and above the expected level. CDS' Managing Director, Richard Bradley, firmly believes that this is an important pledge to make owing to the high number of reservist personnel working for the company and the unique set of skills and expertise that these employees bring.
This award recognises the commitment, over and above the ‘norm’, that CDS DS give to supporting employees that are part of the Armed forces community, whether that be as Reservists, Veterans or Cadet Force Members. CDS DS has committed to and been commended for this dedication to providing a working environment that is both flexible and supportive and count this as one of their biggest, non 'sales' achievements to date.
